Inspection evidence is the original field material supporting an observation, such as a photograph, video, audio recording, document, measurement, or signature.

In Brenix, evidence is immutable after capture. Adjustments such as annotation, rotation, crop, enhancement, and redaction are stored as derived layers that retain a reference to the original.
